We bought the previous one a couple of years ago, only it's living in Daddy's car, so I don't get to listen to it. Also as he discovers and enjoys new shows on CBeebies he will be familiar with more and more songs from this album. CBeebies: The Album includes theme tunes and songs from some new favourites like Rastamouse, Baby Jake and Justin's House, old classics like Postman Pat and Charlie and Lola as well as the CBeebies presenter songs for the very first time on CD! She was a tad confused as to why she couldn't immediately watch all the shows she liked when she heard the music, but to some extent that's understandable as she'd only previously related the songs to the programme being on television right then.

To have all these songs together on one CD is a dream come true to little ones and that's exactly what the new CBeebies: The Album has. The only downside I can think of is that the game's theme is really secondary to the gameplay/mechanisms. They chose brand new songs from Mr Tumble's latest series and Nina and the Neurons - however it has the old lunch time song which hasn't been on TV in over a year.

I'm a childminder and its even a hit with the children I look after to put on in the play room when they are playing, or to play musical instruments along to it. I like that it features big names, popular shows and commonly heard songs from CBeebies which means CBeebies fans will recognise many of the shows and songs featured on the album. They are lovely songs, but if you have to listen to them several dozen times a day, then you start to wish you were elsewhere. Even though he started dancing around the room to the song he did seem a tad confused why he could not see Baby Jake on the TV when the sound of The Yacki Song from the show was filling the room. Be good if they had an updated one or at least advertised the year the shows are from to make it easier.
